Disaster Strikes as Accidental Explosion at Police Station in Indian-administered Kashmir Takes Nine Deaths

A tragic explosion at a law enforcement facility in the Kashmir region under Indian control has led to the deaths of nine individuals and harm to thirty-two more, according to police declarations.

The blast happened on the evening of Friday at the Nowgam police station, where blast substances confiscated in the Faridabad area in the northern territory of Haryana province were being held provisionally.

Regional law enforcement head announced that the blast materials were awaiting technical investigation when a "extremely tragic" accident during handling led to their detonation at approximately 11:20 PM local.

Aftermath and Casualties

Several automobiles were "engulfed in flames and turned into burned shells, with debris scattered across the site," according to authority statements.

"The intensity of the blast was so extreme that some human remains were found in nearby houses, approximately 100-200 metres away the security post," mentioned an authority informant.

Most of the victims were security officials, along with technical investigation team, two investigative imaging experts, and a garment worker who was present with the personnel.
