The number of applications for H-2A and H-2B visas for workers including waitstaff, office assistants, cleaning staff, kitchen staff and agricultural laborers was the highest ever filed by the company, and up from over 120 in the previous term, when Trump’s first term concluded.

Overall, the Trump Organization aimed to employ over 560 foreign laborers over the five years Trump has been in the White House, from 2017 to 2021 and during the upcoming year.
Notably, Trump was questioned by certain in the GOP this week for remarks justifying the necessity for overseas employees when a business was unable to find people with “particular skills” to fill certain positions.
“You cannot just say a nation is coming in, going to spend $10bn to construct a facility, and going to recruit individuals off an unemployment line who have been unemployed in five years, and they’re going to start making their missiles. It doesn’t work that effectively,” he told a interviewer after she suggested that foreign workers lower the wages of US workers.
The administration declined a request for comment, and the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to an request for information.
